Profiel

ScanWorld leverages on satellite and aerial hyperspectral imagery to deliver quantified insights to various sectors, from agriculture and forestry to resources and energy. Our key focus is the assessment and monitoring of the environmental impact of industrial operations, and of biophysical parameters of vegetation.

Ambities

The Shift helpt leden gebruik maken van het globaal kader van de UN Sustainable Development Goals om hun maatschappelijke ambities in kaart te brengen.

2. End hunger

At the farm-level, our data can be used to deliver actionable insights for day-to-day operations, from disease detection to water content assessment. At macro-scale, our data enables yield quantity and quality forecasts, which is an essential element of regional planning for food security. At a global scale.

6. Clean water and sanitation

From a top-level perspective, our imagery is a key tool for water pollution assessment and monitoring. In agriculture, specifically, our data enables a more accurate quantification of the water content in vegetation, thus reducing the need for watering. Moreover, it also provides a better assessment for the need of fertilizers and other entrants, thus mitigate the farm's environmental impact. At a global scale.

9. Innovation and infrastructure

Our data can be used to assess monitor the impact of industrial activities on the environment (e.g. pollution, biodiversity). At a global scale.

13. Climate action

On the one hand, our data can be used to monitor air pollution and track GHG emissions. On the other hand, it can also be used to quantify the soil organic carbon content, thus supporting carbon farming initiatives. At a global scale.

14. Life below water

Our data can be used to assess and monitor biodiversity. At a global scale.

15. Life on land

Our data can be used to assess and monitor biodiversity. At a global scale.
